Put it on a schedule

Your sports research, ready before your day starts

Asking Claude a question is useful. Having Claude do the same research for you every morning, every matchweek or every Friday is a different thing. Write the brief once, pick a schedule, and Claude runs it on its own: it reads the latest Predixsport forecasts, searches the web for the news around them and leaves you a finished report.

How a scheduled task works

A scheduled task is a prompt that Claude runs again and again on a timetable you choose. Because Predixsport is one of your connectors, every run reads that day's model output, not yesterday's answer.

  1. 1 Your brief Written once. Which sports, which teams, what you want back.
  2. 2 A schedule Every morning at 8:00, every Friday, or whenever you press Run.
  3. 3 Claude does the work Calls the Predixsport models, then searches the web for injuries, lineups and other forecasts.
  4. 4 A report waiting for you Each run opens as its own session. Open Scheduled in Claude and pick the run to read it.

It runs in the cloud, so it keeps its timetable even when your computer is asleep or Claude is closed.

A one-time, three-minute setup, from your phone or a computer. Free, with 200 Predixsport calls a month. Follow the setup guide.

2

A paid Claude plan

Scheduled tasks are a Claude feature for the Pro, Max, Ultra, Team and Enterprise plans, in Claude's Cowork and the new Claude app. If you do not see Scheduled in Claude's sidebar, it has not reached your account yet. On the free Claude plan you can still paste any recipe into a chat by hand, whenever you want it.

3

For the fantasy recipe, a saved team

Save your squad once on the website (Fantacalcio, NBA, Euroleague or ATP). Claude reads the same private team. For Fantacalcio, also allow the Fantacalcio permission when you connect, so Claude can run the optimizer. It could also edit your saved team on Predixsport, which is why the prompt forbids it, and nothing ever reaches the official game.

Two ways to create the task in Claude

Easiest

Just ask, in any conversation

Paste a recipe and add when it should run, for example "Run this every day at 8:00." Claude proposes a name, a schedule and the instructions. Check them and press Schedule.

From the sidebar

The Scheduled page

Scheduled New task Create with Claude

Or choose Set up manually and paste the recipe as the prompt, then pick the frequency: hourly, daily, weekdays, weekly or manual. The form also asks for an approval mode: remember that nobody is there to approve a step while the task runs. The same page lets you pause, edit or run a task right away.

Run a new task once by hand before you trust the schedule. If the report is not what you wanted, edit the prompt, not the timetable.

Three recipes to start from

Each one is a prompt you can copy as it is. Swap the competitions and the teams for your own. Claude chooses the Predixsport tools by itself, so you never name an endpoint.

Recipe 1

The morning briefing

Today's matches in the competitions you follow, with the model's probabilities, the clearest calls and the real coin flips explained, and the injury and lineup news that could move them.

  • Every day at 8:00
  • 2 to 9 Predixsport calls a run
  • Uses web search
Prompt to schedule

Every morning, use Predixsport to brief me on today's matches in Serie A and the Premier League. For each competition, list today's games with the model's win, draw and loss probabilities. Then pick the two most one-sided forecasts and the two closest to a coin flip, and explain why the model leans the way it does using its key factors. Search the web for injury and lineup news on those four games and tell me if anything could change the picture. If a competition has nothing published for today, say so in one line instead of guessing. Keep it to one page with a short table at the top, and do not include betting odds or betting advice.

Next: paste it into a new Claude conversation and add when it should run, for example "Run this every day at 8:00".

Illustration of the kind of report you get, abridged. Model numbers as published on Saturday 31 October 2026.

Serie A, Saturday 31 October

MatchHomeDrawAway
Udinese vs Roma21%20%59%
Milan vs Inter27%24%49%
Bologna vs Monza48%26%26%

Clearest forecast. Roma at Udinese, 59%. The biggest factors on Roma's side are chance creation from xG data (about 15 points) and team strength from Elo and Glicko (about 7). Home advantage pulls about 13 points back toward Udinese.

News to watch. A line from the web search on the derby lineups would go here, with its source.

Football top flights publish on Friday late morning, and on Tuesday when there is a midweek round, so the daily run finds the weekend's games from Saturday morning and writes a short note on quiet days. NBA numbers publish on game day, a few hours before tip-off, once the starting fives are known: for an NBA briefing, schedule it for the evening in Europe.

Recipe 2

Your fantasy lineup, checked before the deadline

Claude opens the team you saved on Predixsport and the model's latest advice for it, then checks the web for late news on every player that advice relies on. You get a lineup, the close calls and a warning when the news and the model disagree. Pick your game:

  • Once a matchweek, or daily for NBA
  • About 1 to 4 Predixsport calls a run
  • Uses web search
Fantacalcio (Serie A)Weekly, the morning before the first match
Prompt to schedule

Before each Serie A matchweek, open my saved Fantacalcio team on Predixsport and get the model's best lineup for the open matchweek: the formation, the eleven, the bench order, and the defence modifier on its own line. Then search the web for the latest news on every starter and on the closest bench calls, such as injuries, suspensions and expected lineups. If the news contradicts the model on a player, flag it and ask Predixsport what changes if that player is left out. Show the lineup as a table. This is advice only: do not apply or declare a lineup, do not change my saved team and do not sign in to any fantasy platform.

Next: paste it into a new Claude conversation and add when it should run, for example "Run this every Friday at 9:00".

NBA FantasyDaily, in the evening Europe time
Prompt to schedule

Open my saved NBA Fantasy squad on Predixsport and tell me tonight's best legal five, the bench order and the Captain call. Search the web for late injury and rest news on my players and flag anything that would change tonight's five. If no NBA numbers are published yet for tonight, say so and stop. This is advice only: do not change my saved squad and do not sign in to any fantasy platform.

Next: paste it into a new Claude conversation and add when it should run, for example "Run this every day at 19:00".

Euroleague FantasyWeekly, the morning of the Round's first game
Prompt to schedule

Before each Euroleague Round, read my saved Euroleague Fantasy roster on Predixsport, the current Round board and the latest saved recommendation. Search the web for injury news on every player on my roster and on every player the recommendation brings in or sells, and tell me which moves the news supports or puts in doubt. If there is no recommendation for this Round, do not make one up and do not guess my bank credits: tell me to open the Turn Card with my bank credits from the game. This is advice only: do not apply anything, do not change my saved roster and do not sign in to the official game.

Next: paste it into a new Claude conversation and add when it should run, for example "Run this every Tuesday at 9:00".

ATP FantasyWeekly, Monday morning
Prompt to schedule

Every Monday, read my saved ATP Fantasy roster on Predixsport, this week's projection board and the latest saved recommendation. Search the web for withdrawals and injury news on my players and on everyone the recommendation brings in. Tell me which switches the news supports or puts in doubt. If there is no recommendation for this week, do not guess my budget, free switches or chip: tell me to run the optimizer with them from the game. This is advice only: do not apply anything, do not change my saved roster, and never open or sign in to the official ATP Fantasy website.

Next: paste it into a new Claude conversation and add when it should run, for example "Run this every Monday at 9:00".

Predixsport never signs in to a fantasy game and never submits a lineup. The prompts also tell Claude not to change your saved team, so a scheduled run can only advise. You make the final call in your game.

Recipe 3

A second opinion on the weekend

Our forecasts side by side with other published, model-based forecasts and with the latest team news. The interesting part is where they disagree, and why.

  • Weekly, Friday afternoon
  • About 4 to 10 Predixsport calls a run
  • Uses web search
Prompt to schedule

Every Friday afternoon, take Predixsport's predictions for this weekend's Serie A and Premier League matches. Search the web for other published, model-based forecasts and ratings for the same matches, such as public Elo ratings or forecasts from other sports analytics sites, and for the latest team news. Leave out bookmakers, betting odds and tipster sites. Only use sources that publish their own model or rating, never turn betting odds into probabilities, and if a match has no such source say so instead of inventing a number. Build a table with Predixsport's probabilities next to the other sources and flag every match where they differ by more than 10 percentage points. For each flagged match, explain what Predixsport's key factors weigh and what the other sources or the news may be seeing that the model is not. End with one thing to watch in each flagged match, and cite every source you used.

Next: paste it into a new Claude conversation and add when it should run, for example "Run this every Friday at 15:00".

A disagreement is not a mistake on either side. Two honest models can read the same match differently. To judge who reads it better over time, ask Claude for the model's calibration with "How well calibrated is your football 1X2 model?"

How many calls does this use?

Each time Claude asks Predixsport for data counts as one call toward your monthly plan. Web searches are Claude's and do not count. These are the ranges we measured running parts of the recipes on the live connector. A quiet day with no games costs 2 calls, a full weekend day the most.

Write your own

Be specific

Name the competitions, the teams or the players. "The NBA" gives a long list. "Boston and Denver" gives a briefing.

Ask for the shape

Say "a table first", "a chart of the win probabilities" or "one page". The same shape every run makes runs easy to compare.

Ask for the why

Every winner forecast carries its key factors. "Explain why the model leans that way" turns a number into an argument you can check.

Keep it honest

Ask Claude to say when nothing is published yet and to cite its web sources. A report that admits a gap is one you can trust.
