How Over/Under 2.5 Predictions Work
Our neural network binary classifiers are trained per tier: the top-flight models on 10 seasons of match data across the five major leagues, processing approximately 700 features — team form, Expected Goals (xG), shots, defensive records, home/away splits — while the seven second divisions run dedicated models trained on each division's own history (without xG, which is not reliably available below the top flights). Each outputs a single probability: the likelihood that a match will have over 2.5 total goals. The complementary probability gives the under 2.5 chance. Unlike simple goal averages, these models capture non-linear interactions between attacking and defensive contexts.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does over/under 2.5 goals mean?
Over 2.5 means 3 or more total goals in the match. Under 2.5 means 0, 1, or 2 total goals. Our AI model outputs the probability of each outcome for every match.
How is the over/under probability calculated?
Our neural networks are trained per tier: top-flight models use 10 seasons of data with ~700 features including Expected Goals (xG), recent team form, defensive records, and home/away performance differentials; second-division models are trained on their own tier's history without xG. Which leagues are included?
This page aggregates predictions from Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, Premier League and Ligue 1 plus seven second divisions — 12 European leagues in total. Use the league filter pills to focus on a specific competition.
How often are predictions updated?
Predictions are generated 2-3 days before each matchday and reflect the latest team form, injury context, and performance data.
